biographies, myths, and whom they benefit

cultural heroes owe their popularity to that part of canonization, which is celebrated regularly in remembrance years. Based on the Mozart Year 2006, the contributions in this volume represent the question: How are identity-end, heroes' made to these and what role does the label "genius"? scholars, biographers and directors - some of them on, making 'the Photos contributed by Mozart and Wittgenstein in recent years, even - to reflect on development process and function of biographies. It is interdisciplinary - thought about how the genre of biography in the pursuit of personal narrative strategies is as interwoven as in social desires and laws of the market - from philosophy, musicology, cultural studies, media studies and historical perspective.
